Manage the Transition Period

When switching from an antiperspirant (which blocks sweat) to a natural deodorant (which manages odor), your body may go through a “detox” phase. This can mean increased wetness or odor for 1-3 weeks as your sweat glands regulate and your skin’s microbiome rebalances.

  • Be patient and consistent.
  • Consider a transition aid: Some use a clay mask on underarms once a week to help draw out impurities, or simply wipe with a damp cloth midday during the first few weeks.
